i have a calf that was stillborn, i want change him from an active calf to inactive, also his mother is fostering a twin how to i do i enter this information?

Thank you for the forum questions.

To change the status of the calf from active to inactive because of death you will first need to enter him as being born to the Dam. You can do this via the Calving icon in the CattleMax home page, or by going to the cow’s detail screen and selecting the Offspring tab.

After entering the calf you need to go to the calves’ detail screen and click on Change Status on the left hand side of the screen and choose the option to record death. This will change the calves status to inactive/dead.

If a calf is being raised by a cow other than the calf's natural mother, check the “Is Grafted” box on the calves General Screen. A Genetic/Donor Dam box will appear below the Dam to indicate the cow that gave birth to the calf. The Dam box is to indicate the cow that is currently raising the calf.
